Let me know if you want to build a pink themed bike. I might be able to hook you up.
I saw quite a few Masi's at Nature Valley. They always catch my eye now...Josh Boggshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02594449058752017453noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11219197.post-9452291413449137762007-06-27T15:43:00.000-07:002007-06-27T15:43:00.000-07:00oh, those sweet memories of you getting 7 flats du...oh, those sweet memories of you getting 7 flats during one ride out in the hills of the east county.... did your pump actually work?blue squirrelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09323646795956411769noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11219197.post-85513365766357783702007-06-27T11:12:00.000-07:002007-06-27T11:12:00.000-07:00Hey, those WERE my rims. Spot is one hell of a builder and hopefully he'll consent to building my next set (god knows he consents to allot of things).

Ahhh... I remember the day he upgraded to friction shifters from indexed downtubes, those were the salad days.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11219197.post-42464549489525401182007-06-27T05:56:00.000-07:002007-06-27T05:56:00.000-07:00Freddy- I don't use co2 at all, just never really ...Freddy- I don't use co2 at all, just never really liked them. I have always ridden with a frame pump. Your post about the frame pump brought a smile to my face. I don't have an old Silca with Campy metal head anymore. As much as I loved them, they just never worked as well as the Blackburn on this bike (which is is still probably a 10 year old pump).

James- Yep, I have boxes of crap I'll never use but still own. In fact, it was just last year that I threw some of those things away. Boxes of old bottom brackets- the old kind with loose spindles and cups. I even had jars with bearings and old tires with bald spots (emergency tires).

In all fairness though, I have to point out that the tires and wheels pictured belong to one of my very best friends who rides nothing but sewups and rides an old steel Battaglin with a steel fork and downtube shifters. Spot was one of the wheelbuilders who built the wheels for the PRO teams of Wheelsmith.Tim Jacksonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00656450355435181157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11219197.post-43441778225667574012007-06-27T05:14:00.000-07:002007-06-27T05:14:00.000-07:00Nice! Just last weekend I started going through some of my boxes of old bike stuff to see what I could sell and what needed to be trashed or given away (the bike room is getting out of hand). I was amazed at how many old, brittle, flat sew-ups that I still have stored away. They bring back memories though.James Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06558670871159677266noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11219197.post-42501768343166147782007-06-27T05:10:00.000-07:002007-06-27T05:10:00.000-07:00Tim - Is that a frame pump I see?
