(PS- the website will be getting a face lift in the coming weeks as well.)

Great looking Range, Tim.

Shame I live in the UK, and I can't see an importer to my little island :(

Which is probably a good thing or I'd have another two bikes to house!

Tim,
OK, you 'trumped' me, believed SHIMANO 'Sora' wares described their eight (8) speed group?
Kindly enlighten me about your forthcoming 2008 MASI 'Alare' featuring 'Sora' ware permitting nine (9) speeds of operation.
(I recognize a TIAGRA rear dérailleur is a nine (9) speed component.)

Ah, need a cold shower now. Can't wait to stock the shop for another year with some Masi stink! Good job but maybe spec that GC with 1600gr hoops for better spirit...WCS retails for under 600.

Um do you mean Fall 2007??? Or 2008 bikes???

Matt- Thanks my friend. You never know where these bikes will land...

kvl- Why not the Gran Crit? C'mon... it's sweet!

WRW- the newest version of Sora has been upgraded to 9spd with a new lever shape like the Tiagra and all the others. It still has the small down shift lever, but the ergonomics are like the other levers and it is now 9spd.

Stickboy- take a deep breath and light a candle on the Masi altar. Find your happy place and relax. You'll have bikes soon enough... and yes, the Masi guy loves you.

Paterfamilias- due to our new twice-a-year product releases and elimination of model year, this catalog is simply the Fall '07 and the next one will be the Spring '08.

Thank you all for the comments!

Hey Tim,

The catalog looks fantastic. I guess climbing into that cave for a few weeks to put it together paid off.

Cheers

Nice work Tim; the bikes look really great. I especially like the graphic treatment on the 3VCs. The Speciale Commuter looks great as well. I was curious; What size freewheel is speced on that bike? It seems to be missing from the catalog (along with the Speciale CX and the SoulVille).

In the catalog it seems to say Ritchey SpeedMax Cross Comp 23c Wire Bead in the Speciale CX specs. Is that correct? I'm also wondering why the Speciale CX doesn't use the same horizontal dropout as on the Speciale Commuter providing more flexibility if someone wants to switch to singlespeed or use a gearhub without a tensioner on this thing. You leave the derailleur hanger on the commuter, but make the single speed option kinda difficult on the CX. I can imagine someone getting either based on their current needs or preference for canti/caliper brakes then later wanting to change the drivetrain. The speciale bikes are really pretty for sure, though. Is there anywhere in DC you can test ride either/any of the new models?

I have owned my 3VC for 3 months now and I love riding it. I think your new catalog is a work of art. I think I need another bike (n=n+1)something steel perhaps?. I like the fact that my 3VC has Ritchey parts on it. I am in Australia and think my bike was a 2006 model which means that in has Easton EC90 forks on it which I like very much and was one of the reasons I brought a Masi. I would have liked to have seen the Easton forks on the new 3VC's. Keep up the good work I enjoy your blog.

Awsome steel. Looks like an addition will be made to my herd this year. I just have to figure out which one.

The new graphix look sweet. I notice they've beefed up the head area on the 3VCs - a good idea for larger riders like myself: my 2006 DA 3VC can get the tiniest bit squirrelly in this area when I have a lot of weight forward. Mind you, it's not enough of an issue to make me consider the 2007 model alone - but if Masi want to send me one in Oz so I can try it out when I next visit Canada for a bike tour, I'll happily oblige! My superbly equipped 2006 3VC happily trounced it's way thru' the Canadian Rockies, as my blog details, so I'm sure the 2007 would be equally at home.

Love the Coltello. Gorgeous tri-bike. And that's hard to do.

Miss the white paint job on the Corsa, though. Good thing I bought one earlier this year and get to see it everday!

Tim, I am very interested in the Speciale Commuter. Only one piece of the puzzle left for me - What is the largest tire this bike will take with fenders. Thanks, Steve

How much the Soulville weights?

I love the Masi Coltello Track frame but am wondering why you guys don't have the specs on the bike? Can anyone tell me where I can find more info on the bike frames specs so to start palnning a build? Thanks!

Tim Jackson said...

Anon- re Coltello specs; 27.2 seatpost and 68mm BB. For a track frame, that's about all you need to know spec-wise. Rear spacing is true track-specific at 120mm. Steerer tube/ headset size 1-1/8".

That should be enough info to get you cranking!

Hi Tim,

I love "Speciale CX" and want it to be my next bike. I'm in India and don't have any reseller/distributor in this region.

Any idea on how could I bring it home? Any help would be appreciated.

My email is hackdalinux at gmail dot com.

Thanks,
