More Sneak Peeks!

Just got a couple first sample frames the other day and man, oh man are they beautiful. So, because I love you and want you to be happy... here they are for your viewing pleasure;

First up- here's the first sample of the new color of the Speciale Fixed (minus the new fork)-

I wish I coulda captured just how awesome that metallic green is. Those panels are a nice, creamy beige- even the one on the seat tube that is placed too high (it'll be fixed by production).

It's soooooooooo purdy!

You can see the metallic a little better here.

While we're on the whole track/ fixed theme... here's the long awaited (by me anyway) Coltello frameset-Another gorgeous metallic! My flash is just too darned bright, so it kinda washes out. But the color is insanely good.

I admit that I have a penchant for metallic paint. The previous version of the frame uses a metallic red that I will find a home for again on another model soon... it's just a sweet color. I just love it when a bike sparkles in the sunlight.

So anyway, there's your first round of samples to slobber over. Ok, I'll leave you alone to salivate.

TIm, you know I love you and all, but......
Well I was going to go on a long rant but I'll just say this. All, and I mean ALL, of the steel frames SHOULD have full rack and fender mounts!!!! Just like all the cool old steel bikes of days gone by, and yes the Fixy too. Come on, lets give people more reasons to ditch their cars!
The green looks F*ing great though.

But, Chug, all 3 of the other steel bikes WILL have rack and fender mounts... oh, wait... did I say three were three more steel bikes... I mean... ummm... just wait until the whole line is released.

OK, OK, I will wait, only cause your cute...
By the way, are any of these samples 56cm's???

I'm with chug on that green frame. Absolutely sweetilicious looking.

In your other, umm, hypothetical bikes, any chance that they'll have forward-facing drops like Surly Cross Check?

Ack, I meant "forward facing ends"....

I think that the red one is nice

Nice work Tim. These look great.

Hey Fritz, Not to get too technical, but I think you were right the first time. If they are forward facing, then they are dropouts. If I rember correctly, only rear facing track ends are called fork ends and not dropouts. Is that right Tim?

Tim or other Masimen,

I have a 1977 Brian Bayless custom MASI Gran Criterium with original Campy Super Record drive train, crank, pedals, hubs and brakes, Cinelli bars and seat post with a Dupont Imron Seminole red paint job. Loaned it to my brother once and he put a ding in the top tube, but otherwise in pretty good shape considering I raced in for 3 years. I'd like to give it a good home with someone who still appreciates a fast fun steel ride.
Any market out there for it?

David,

Man, that is a true collector's item- even with the dent. You could always take the risk and place it on eBay. Sometimes those bikes go for a ton more than you might think. Kind of depends on what it is and the size you have.

You might check this site out as a reference as well;

Twin Town Track Guy

How do I get my hands on the Masi Aero Coltello track frame with the fantastic metallic blue paint in a size 56cm?
