Do me a favor?

If you actually like me, even a little, do me a favor; get outside and ride your bike this weekend. Even if you only ride to the corner store to get some milk, a beer, a loaf of bread, a carton of smokes... anything... just get out and ride. Strap a helmet to your head and get out on your bike and get some wind in your lungs and sun on your skin.

I'm gonna be unable to ride for another 10 weeks at least. So if you wanna make me feel better, get out and ride. In fact, send me photos of your ride and I'll post them up here with a weekend ride report from you folks; tjackson (at) masibikes (dot) com.

Share your bike fun with ME and I'll share it with the world.

We got a deal?

Tim

TJ, If it makes you feel any better I rode on the road Wednesday night in Butte, MT on my trip trying to sell your bikes. Yesterday morning I followed with the most amazing MTB ride EVER in Butte as well. Tomorrwo I'll be riding around Lake Coeur D'Alene-I haven't decided which yet, but I know it's going to be awesome. I'll shift a gear and give a howl for you buddy.

...discretion being the better part of valor, i headed back down to spin the flats...if i'd known i was riding for you as well, i probably could a' dug a little bit deeper...

I recently got my hands on a Masi Speciale Fixed. I love it and ride it everyday. Something has been bugging me...How do you pronounce the name Masi. Is is Mass-ie or what? Please help save me some embarrasment.

Rolled out the door for a Sat morning ride, picked up breakfast for the family on the way back, and hummed a little tune for the neighbors. Sweet morning.

Time will move fast and before you know it, you'll be spinning again.

Tim, I just got back from a nice and toasty 34 mile ride in the Sierra foothills. Was thinking of you, and wishing you a speedy recovery so you can get back on the bike soon!

Me, my children and over 500 of our closest friends loaded our bikes, trailer and other gear on a rickety tourist train, hopped on the train, headed up into the redwood groves of the Santa Cruz Mountains, then cycled back down to Santa Cruz down California Highway 9 with a CHP escort this morning. A fantastic time was had by all. Alas I didn't see any Masis, though there were plenty of old Raleighs and Schwinns mixed in with the colorful fixed gear bikes and high end mountain bikes. My photos from the ride are here.

I actually thought of you not riding and I'm hoping the recovery goes faster than expected! (I'm sure you hope so too)

BGW, it was warm down in S.C. County too but it was very nice in the shade.

Watched hundreds of folks ride the Encinitas Century. Will get a leg over tomorrow since you told me to.

No pictures, Tim. But instead of driving with my family to my 5-year-old's baseball game yesterday morning, I hopped on my bike and rode the 5 miles to the ballpark. Then I got "lost" for 15 miles on the way back home.

Got in about 45 out of my normal envelope.
Up ECR to the path, out to the coast and back.
Blazing beautiful day - no hrm, computer, watch.
Jeff
what did you come up with? Rhymes with Fozzie like the muppet bear?

I rode 41 miles on my SS mtn bike.
Beautiful morning in N. Georgia mtns. I saw deer, turkeys and one black snake. Ride start was 49* and finished with 77*. Sweet singletrack and fast FSR descents.

Hang in there.
You will be back stronger than ever.

i rode the tour de cure on sat in redmond, wa. i was only able to do the 25 mile ride as i have a pulled groin muscle, so it was fun to take it slow. greg lemond and others did the 45 and 70 mile loops while i rode with heavier and less fit riders who had major troubles on the hills. i pushed easier gears and pulled them up many hills, vocal in my motivation...it was riding with the slower riders that enabled me to keep things in perspective. of course, i was sending you some healing vibes as i pedaled.

Little Guy Racing was out on the Masi's all weekend!

Then afterwards we got all jacked up on coffee and thought of you.

Mission Accomplished, MasiGuy.

I went out for 25 nice and easy miles Sunday morning. I knoe you would've put in a few more, but between the 4 year old and the basement project, I can only take off for so long.

Also, I waved, on your behalf, to every cyclist I passed.

Did my first race of 2008 on Sunday. Tour de Parc Criterium, in Wantagh, NY. Cat 4 race. I finished mid-pack, but it sure was fun! Here is a photo, I'm in the orange EECT jersey with the white helmet.

The wife and I hadn't ridden together in ages so we dropped the kids off at a friend's for a play date on Sunday morning and rode down PCH from Carlsbad up to the top of Torrey Pines. Easy spin in the beautiful warm (hot, actually) SD weather. Stopped at Roberto's for a couple of fish tacos on the the way back. Life is good. Hope you'll be able to catch a bit of the tail end of Summer when you're all better. Hope you get a little joy out of living vicariously through us in the meantime! Feel better!
