how many more dead PC's will it take before you get a MAC??? mac's play well with everyone [all networks] and run everything you need and more. let me put it into simple 'sprinter terms, the differece bettween a mac and a pc is the difference between a custom made ti frame with the new '07 record and a bike bought at wal-mart....
a hard drive is a hard rive. it makes no difference whether its a mac or PC. how much workload are you expecting from the hd Tim? get a mac and you ask for all kinds of compatibilty issues.PC is easier.
oh, john boy, buying into the old old old pc line that pc's network easier, this is 2006 and the mac OS X [unix kernel] is so incredibly more advandced than the current windows OS [or the chronically delayed vista], i have been using macs in pc environments [networks] for years, just turn turn the mac on and it connects automatically [now if that is hard, than i humbly apologize to you]. the only compatibility problems i have ever had in an office network is a pc connecting to a pc network. macs are designed to be superior [including the choice of hard drive] on every level, i have had 5 new macs over the past 10 years, no hard drive problems.
The problem is that I travel with the damned thing all over the place and it goes back and forth from work to home every day... and I surf porn sites all day, every day... ok, not ALL day....
john boy, wow, 5 years, i wish i could still use my old working macs, but speed is the name of the game in business... enough of this boring computer talk [until tim's harddrive crashes again in 3 months], go out and ride....

Wow, two dead hard drives in less than a year. You know that you can't spill beer on those things, right?
MAC, the step child of technology,
the Huffy of computers.
like a mountain bike with aero bars, Mac is to PC like Verge is to Voler.
nice try bill, coming from a man that stated we only need one font.

We love our Macs... but our hard drive on the shop computer just crashed, too. So it's not just a PC problem.
Ours did at least last 2 years before crashing, though.
