Join the club.

Ok, I've been toying with the idea of starting a club that anybody can join. I'm even thinking of registering with the USCF so people can even race under the club name on their licenses and maybe even do special team clothing.

Team OFSOOS (Old, Fat, Slow, Out Of Shape). Obviously this is intended to be somewhat tongue-in-cheek because I hope to actually win a few races this coming year, but the idea is fun. No egos. No jerks/ jerkettes. Even the young guns can join, you just have to live with the "old" moniker.

Seriously, I've tossed this idea around in my head for a few years now and might just do it if the interest is there. Let me know if you're interested...

YOu by the way are not fat, maybe old but, not fat. I on the other hand....

Hey great blog. Keep up the good work. I just started mine, I am a SD bike wrench. I have worked on a couple Masi's lately (Tara? just bought a Masi Nuovo Strada for her dad...etc.)

Say hey to Wayne D next time you see him,

How about Heinz chicken gravy for a sponsor? Clif Bars in a buttered mashed potato flavoring. Full riding kit in tree camo...haha. You rule. I would like to be your right coast chair advisor.

go Masi!

I'm in! I even ride a Masi! I got a used Tre Vincere from a friend of mine and love it! (I sell Masi too!)

I used to race road about 15 (this qualifies me as the Old part) years ago and am getting back into it next year. I'd love to ride for OFSOOS!

Let's get some jerseys made up and go for it!

What about us OSSOOS (Old Skinny Slow Out Of Shape) guys. Am I gonna have to start packing on the pounds just to be in your super friend club?

Hey Guitar Ted - whatchu doing out of the mtbr vrc forum?

It would be cool to register with the USCF, but I think club rules require every club to host at least one race, a task that might be hard with your membership spread all over the country...

Hello Masiguy. I just bought a Masi Gran Corsa! It's beautiful of course, it is also a cross bike. Did Masi ever make steel cross-bikes? It seems it must have been converted to one. Just thought you or someone might know. My first Masi was stolen out of my garage five years ago. Bastards. Now I have my revenge.

I am looking at a Masi Nuovo Strada with Brain tubing. Is this a bike with oversized tubing? Is it very stiff. Brian

I just bought a masi nuova strada about a month ago and have loved it. Put about 150-200k on it so far without a hitch. To be quite honest i entered the roadbike market as a 'noob' and purchased a masi through the advice of a friend. it corners like an animal and I can roll with some guys who ride $2000+ bikes on the road. cool blog !
